Get to know Think Ability!

Instead of separating support, work, and community, we bring them together into one ecosystem where individuals can grow through real experiences.

Whether someone is living in a residential home, working in a café, or participating in a training program, the goal remains the same: meaningful participation in everyday life.

Think Ability is a community-focused organization that creates opportunities through meaningful support, job training, and real-world work experiences. We focus on helping people build independence, connect with others, and become active members of the community.

Humble beginnings

Think Ability started with a simple but powerful idea. People deserve more than basic support. They deserve real opportunities to live, work, and be part of their community.

In the early days, the focus was on meeting immediate needs. Providing safe places to live, building trust with families, and creating consistent support systems for individuals who had often been overlooked. What quickly became clear was that support alone was not enough. People wanted purpose. They wanted connection. They wanted to contribute. That realization shaped everything that followed.

Instead of separating support, work, and community, we bring them together into one ecosystem where individuals can grow through real experiences.

Instead of building isolated programs, ThinkAbility began creating environments that reflect real life. Homes where individuals could build independence. Workspaces where skills could turn into meaningful employment. Community spaces where people could interact, learn, and belong.

What started as a small effort to provide support has grown into a connected ecosystem. Today, ThinkAbility includes residential services, vocational programs, and a network of community enterprises that work together every day.

Through every stage of growth, one thing has remained the same. A belief in people’s ability to do more, become more, and be part of something that matters.

Vision

A community where every person feels included, valued, and supported with opportunities to grow, contribute, and thrive.

Our Approach: Support that meets people where they are and grows with them

Person First

Support is built around each individual’s strengths, goals, and daily routines. We focus on what people can do and how they want to grow.

Real Skills

Skills are developed through everyday experiences like cooking, working, budgeting, and interacting in the community. Learning happens through doing.

Connected Life

Home, work, and community are designed to work together. What someone learns in one area supports growth in another.

Steady Support

Consistent environments and support systems provide stability while allowing room for independence and progress.
